National Human Rights Commission Recommends Investigation into Durga Prasai for Incitement

Kathmandu. The National Human Rights Commission has recommended a thorough investigation into medical businessman Durga Prasai for 'incitement'. The commission has concluded that Prasai gave provocative statements through social media along with the Gen Z activists and has asked for an investigation.

The commission has asked for a thorough investigation into whether or not he was involved in the human and physical damage that occurred during the Gen Z movement on Bhadra 23 and 24.

'By investigating thoroughly whether or not the said persons have committed acts that disturb public peace and order, causing any impact or effect by inciting protesters to become angry and agitated through their statements, and whether or not they have incited such acts,' the commission's recommendation regarding Prasai and others states, 'to inform the concerned individuals and the general public and to investigate and take action if the mentioned individuals are found guilty, ensuring their right to a fair hearing.'
