Congress MP Kamala Pant Criticizes PM Balendra Shah's Disregard for Parliament

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress Member of Parliament Kamala Pant has commented that it is a shameful matter that Prime Minister Balendra Shah is intolerant towards the parliament. She made such a comment while speaking at the National Assembly meeting on Wednesday. Her statement was that it is a shameful matter to be irresponsible towards the very institution that made the Prime Minister. She said that the government needs to be sensitive to the fact that the government is responsible to the parliament, including the ruling party and the Prime Minister himself. MP Pant mentioned that the institution of the Prime Minister is more important than the person leading the government, and that behaving intolerantly towards the parliament is not appropriate. Speaking at the meeting, she said, 'If the government formed by the parliament itself ignores the parliament, what will be the state of the parliament? Why is this neglect happening? It is important that the ruling party and the Prime Minister himself be sensitive. We have no concern with who comes and who goes. We have no concern with who the person is who is the Prime Minister. But the Prime Minister is an institution. It is a shameful thing to be intolerant towards the very parliament that made that institution the Prime Minister.' She also drew the government's attention towards solving the problems of the citizens through dialogue with all political parties.
