Play 'Sujbhuj' Staged in Gajuri Rural Municipality, Dhading

Kathmandu. The play 'Sujbhuj' has been staged in Gajuri Rural Municipality of Dhading. The play was staged on Tuesday (May 12) organized by Gajuri Rural Municipality Dhading and presented by theater group 'Adi Ityadi'.

The play was written and directed by theater artist Puru Lamsal. The play, which was prepared by including the burning and sensitive issues seen in contemporary Nepali society, featured performances by Divakar Ghimire, Deepmala Pariyar, Sagar Karki, Sovita Adhikari, Anju Khadka, and Rubin Sunar.

Through the play, awareness was raised about the various risks arising from the misuse of modern technology and social media. In addition, the play poignantly depicted the negative consequences on the psychology and future of children due to parents not giving them enough time due to busyness in recent times.

The play, which particularly presented the growing drug addiction among the youth and its serious impact on society, also made child marriage, which is still a challenge in society, and its multifaceted impact on society the main subject matter of the play.

Director Puru Lamsal expressed the expectation that the play would be very effective for social transformation and public awareness. The play was performed at 11:00 AM in the premises of Adarsha Secondary School in Gajuri.
