Film 'Mitjyu' Highlights Societal Aspects, Says Director Subba

Kathmandu. Film director Naveen Subba said that 'Mitjyu' has exposed different aspects of society in various layers. He said that 'Mitjyu' has shown political, social, economic, and family aspects simultaneously.

Watching the film on Tuesday, he argued that the political prediction made by 'Mitjyu' matches current Nepali politics. 'The film symbolically shows that old parties have ended and new thinking has arrived,' he said, 'This has been brought in from the character building itself.' He said that he felt for the first time that a Nepali film had spoken in this way.

He also praised actress Teriya Magar. He said that watching Teriya's performance, it doesn't seem like her debut film.

Naveen said that Dayahang and Saugat have also done a great job in appearance and emotion.

'This film has presented many challenges. It questions the very concept of family we have. It has done a lot by raising a local story, there is talk of newly opened roads and jeeps,' he added, 'Moving a little ahead from Rolpa and Rukum, the film questions the thought process of Nepali society as a whole.'

The film, which was released on Friday, features performances by Dayahang Rai, Saugat Malla and Teriya Magar, Khadga Bahadur Pun Magar, Shishir Wangle, Pushkar Gurung, Raj Thapa, Suvarna Thapa, Anu Thapa, Smita Lamichhane, among others.

The film, produced under the banner of GM Movies Production, has been produced by Janak Ghartimagar and directed by Anil Budha Magar.
