Weather Forecast: Rain, Thunderstorms, and Gusty Winds Expected in Several Regions

Kathmandu. Currently, Nepal is under the influence of westerly winds and local winds and a low-pressure area near the eastern parts, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated.

Due to this, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as the Himalayan and hilly regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces, generally have cloudy weather, while the rest of the Tarai regions are mainly clear. Light to moderate rain is occurring in some places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Gandaki province, and in a few places in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

This afternoon, Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces will generally be cloudy, while the remaining Himalayan and hilly regions will be partly cloudy. There is a possibility of thunderstorms with moderate rain in some places in Koshi and Madhesh provinces, as well as in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, in a few places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Lumbini province, and in one or two places in the Tarai regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and the Himalayan and hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Hot days are expected in the Tarai regions of Sudurpaschim and Lumbini provinces. There is a possibility of gusty winds in some places in the Tarai and hilly regions of Madhesh province, as well as Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, in the afternoon.

Tonight, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces will generally be cloudy. Madhesh province and the remaining Himalayan and hilly regions will be partly cloudy. The Tarai regions will mainly be clear.

There is a possibility of light rain with thunderstorms in a few places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in one or two places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Madhesh province and Lumbini province. There is a possibility of gusty winds in some places in the Tarai and hilly regions of Madhesh province, as well as Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
