Medical Businessman Durga Prasai's Investigation Report Submitted

Kathmandu. Police have submitted the investigation report after completing the investigation into medical businessman Durga Prasai, who was in custody in Parsa. The investigation report was submitted to the District Public Prosecutor's Office on Monday, informed DSP Hari Basnet of the District Police Office Parsa.

Police had arrested him from Diyalo Hotel in Birgunj, Parsa on Jestha 4. Police have recommended filing a case against Prasai under the Electronic Transactions Act 2063 and against the state.

Police have made the statements given by Prasai on various YouTube channels and after reaching Birgunj as the basis for the investigation. Investigating officials say that Prasai made defamatory and abusive remarks against women on YouTube and made obscene comments belittling state bodies like the army and police.

In an interview with a YouTube channel, he claimed that Prime Minister Balendra Shah, RSP Chairman Ravi Lamichhane, former minister Kulman Ghising, and MP Hark Sampang are all part of the 'same team'. He also mentioned that he would keep a photo of Balendra Shah at home if he was ready to restore the Hindu nation and monarchy.

Similarly, Prasai also made obscene comments about the song released by Army and Police IGP Dan Bahadur Karki.

Prasai had reached Parsa to visit the Gahawa Mai temple in Birgunj market and to address the people whose structures were demolished there. The Supreme Court has ordered Prasai to be released from custody by Monday.
