CPN UML Central Secretariat Meeting Concludes Discussions

Kathmandu. The process of members expressing their views in the ongoing Central Secretariat meeting of CPN UML has concluded. The process of expressing views, which started on Friday with Vice-Chairman Ram Bahadur Thapa Badal, concluded on Sunday after Secretary Khagraj Adhikari, also a former Chief Minister of Gandaki, spoke. On Sunday, along with Adhikari, Sherdhan Rai, Yamlal Kandel, and Bhanubhakta Dhakal presented their views. Like other office bearers, they emphasized the reorganization of the party and stressed the need to make the party united and strong. After Adhikari presented his views at the end, a 'snack break' was taken, informed sources from Gundu. 'The process of members expressing their views has ended, and the Chairman has started giving his response,' said the source, 'After the Chairman finishes his response, there is preparation to conclude the meeting.' In the 19-member UML Secretariat meeting, a majority of members have stated that if the party is not moved forward by changing the leadership in time, emphasizing the reorganization of the party, the prestige of UML cannot be saved. However, Chairman Oli has been stating that he is unwilling to step down from leadership.
