Police Arrest Man With Fake Nepali Notes in Lalitpur

Lalitpur. Police have taken one person into custody with fake Nepali notes of Rs 500 denomination from Lagankhel, Lalitpur. A police team deployed on the basis of secret information that fake notes were being transacted near Lagankhel buspark in Ward No. 12 of Lalitpur Metropolitan City has arrested him.

A team from Ward Police Office Lagankhel under District Police Complex Lalitpur has succeeded in apprehending the person red-handed while transacting fake notes. The arrested person has been identified as Suraj Rai, 19, a permanent resident of Ward No. 15, Lahan Municipality, Siraha district, and currently residing in Ward No. 14, Kalanki, Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

Police have recovered 16 fake Nepali notes of Rs 500 denomination from Rai's possession. The District Police Complex Lalitpur has stated that all the recovered notes have the same number 'ja/13 686427' mentioned on them.

Police have taken Rai, who was arrested with fake notes, into custody and have further investigated whether other individuals are involved in this transaction.
