Nepal Cricket Team Announced for Asian Games Qualifier in Singapore

Kathmandu. Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) has announced the Nepali national cricket team for the upcoming Asian Games Qualifier to be held in Singapore. 

According to a press release issued by CAN spokesperson Chumbi Lama, a 14-member team has been selected for the 'Men's Asian Games Qualifier 2026' to be held from May 31 to June 9, 2026. 

This time, CAN has entrusted the responsibility of captaincy to all-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee. The announced team includes Kushal Bhurtel, Asif Sheikh, Rohit Paudel, Sandeep Jora, and Lokesh Bam. Similarly, Kushal Malla, Sandeep Lamichhane, Sher Malla, Nandan Yadav, and Arif Sheikh have found a place in the team. Fast bowlers Sompal Kami, Karan KC, and spinner Sahab Alam have also been selected. 

CAN has stated that the Nepali team, which is going to Singapore with the goal of securing a ticket to the Asian Games, has a balance of young and experienced players.
