Gorkha Municipality Launches Acupuncture Service

Gorkha. Gorkha's Bhimsen Thapa Rural Municipality has brought acupuncture service into operation with the objective of promoting alternative medicine in the village. Acupuncture service has been initiated from Friday at Baguwa Health Post located in Bhimsen Thapa-5.

The rural municipality's health branch chief Bheshraj Khanal said, "After the start of acupuncture service in the village, patients with nerve, joint, and paralysis-like diseases will be treated without medicine, so they will not have to go elsewhere for treatment. This service has been initiated with the objective of providing accessible and effective alternative healthcare services to the citizens at their doorstep."

Bhimsen Thapa Rural Municipality has brought acupuncture service into operation for the first time in the district. The rural municipality has started this service within the municipality under the approved program of the current financial year, said branch chief Khanal. "Access to traditional and alternative treatments has expanded along with modern medical methods at the local level," he said, "Patients from all over the district who want to be treated with acupuncture method will benefit from this."

According to health branch chief Khanal, this service will be very useful especially for patients with chronic joint pain, muscle pain, and various types of nerve-related problems. He also said that it will be easier to treat patients with complex physical problems like paralysis (paralysis) with this method.
