US State Department Offers Reward for Hezbollah Financial Network Information

Kathmandu. The US State Department has announced a reward for individuals who provide information regarding the financial network of the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah.

In a notice published via the social media platform X, the ministry has urged for information about Hezbollah's "financial networks, leaders, or operatives" to be sent to a confidential tip line. Individuals providing information that helps disrupt Hezbollah's financial activities will be rewarded up to 10 million US dollars.

Previously, the US government had imposed new sanctions on individuals and entities associated with Hezbollah, including members of the Lebanese parliament. 

In response, Hezbollah called these sanctions an "attempt to intimidate the free Lebanese people." The group also claimed that these actions would not affect its strategic decisions.
