Indian Youth Drowns in Tinau River Dam

Butwal. An Indian youth who went missing while swimming in the Tinau River Dam in Tinau Rural Municipality-3, Palpa, has been found dead. According to the District Police Office, Palpa, Saurabh Rastogi, approximately 22 years old, a resident of Naugarh village in Siddharthnagar district of India, was found dead. He had come to visit with friends and went missing while swimming in the dam around 6:30 PM on Wednesday. A police team from Dobhan Police Post was deployed after the incident, and a joint team of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force Nepal searched throughout the night. According to the police, Rastogi's body was found today stuck in a crevice of a rock in the Tinau River about 50 meters south of the incident site. DSP Bhimlal Bhattarai of the District Police Office, Palpa, informed that further investigation into the incident is underway.
