One Arrested with 80kg Crystal-like Substance in Dhading

Dhading. Police have arrested one person with approximately 80 kilograms of crystal-like substance in Dhading's Ruby Valley Rural Municipality.

Funchho Tamang, 35, of the same rural municipality was taken into custody by the police on Wednesday from Sector Chautara of Ruby Valley Rural Municipality-3.

Police had received specific information that crystal-like substance was being trafficked illegally in the said location. Based on that information, a team dispatched from Sertung Police Post found the substance in the said quantity hidden in 4 sacks during a search. Along with the recovery of the illegal substance, Tamang, involved in trafficking, was arrested by the police from the spot.

The crystal-like substance recovered by the police is suspected to be related to precious stones or forest products. Police have stated that Tamang, who was arrested, has been sent to the Division Forest Office, Dhading for necessary investigation and legal action.
