Nepal and USA Clash in Crucial Cricket World Cup Qualifier Match

Kathmandu. In a match considered important for the journey to the 2027 ODI World Cup qualifiers, Nepal and USA are clashing today in Kirtipur in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2.

The match, which was scheduled to start at 9:30 AM Nepal time, has been delayed due to unplayable ground conditions caused by bad weather.

In a recently concluded toss, USA won the toss and decided to bowl first. This match, to be held at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, is a golden opportunity for both teams to add important points.

This match holds significant importance in the League 2 points table. At the end of this competition, the top four teams will directly secure a place in the 2027 ODI World Cup qualifiers, while the remaining teams will be pushed into a difficult playoff route.

In this match, USA's left-arm fast bowler Saurabh Netravalkar will be a key weapon, who has become the third highest wicket-taker in the competition with 40 wickets. For Nepal, opener Kushal Bhurtel is the biggest threat.
