Police Arrest Man with 37 Passports at Kathmandu Airport

Kathmandu. Police have taken one person into custody with 37 passports from Tribhuvan International Airport and made him public today.

Ajit Shrestha, 38, holder of passport number 12134855, a resident of Dhangadhimai Municipality-13, Siraha, has been taken into custody, informed Tribhuvan International Airport Security Office Spokesperson and Police Superintendent Rajkumar Silwal.

He said, "We have taken into custody from Tribhuvan International Airport Shrestha, who was about to fly from Kathmandu to Delhi, India by Nepal Airlines flight on Tuesday, with 37 Nepali passports to put Romanian visas on them and take them towards that destination without any official approval or letter."

Spokesperson Silwal said that Shrestha has been sent to Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku for necessary action.
