Western and Local Winds Affecting Nepal, Light Rain and Snow Possible

Kathmandu. Currently, the influence of western and local winds is present in Nepal, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. Due to this influence, the hilly and mountainous regions of the country are generally cloudy. The weather in the remaining Terai regions is mainly clear.

This afternoon, Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as the mountainous and hilly regions of Lumbini and Karnali provinces, will generally be cloudy. The remaining hilly and mountainous regions will have partial cloudiness, while the remaining Terai regions will be mainly clear. 

There is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall in some places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in a few places in Madhesh province and other mountainous and hilly regions. There is a possibility of hot days in the Terai regions of Sudurpashchim and Lumbini provinces.

Tonight, Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces will generally be cloudy. Additionally, the remaining mountainous and hilly regions will have partial cloudiness. There is a possibility of light rain with thunderstorms and snowfall in one or two places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, the Department stated.
