Uniglobe Premier School/College Launches Cricket Academy

Kathmandu. Uniglobe Premier School/College has brought a cricket academy into operation. With the objective of preparing students for professional sports while engaging in physical exercise, Uniglobe has operated the academy on its own premises in Baneshwor, Kathmandu.

The academy was inaugurated on Monday by American national team captain Harmeet Singh. Singh inaugurated the academy while he was in Nepal to play the League Division 2 of One Day International Cricket.

Singh has also played in the Nepali franchise league. He played T-20 matches for Sudurpashchim Royals in the Nepal Premier League (NPL). At the inauguration ceremony, he expressed his belief that the academy being brought into operation by Uniglobe will make a significant contribution to the development of cricket in Nepal. 

He also thanked the college for promoting sports, especially a globally popular sport like cricket. He shared his experiences from his playing career while answering questions from the students.

Roshan Singh, Vice-President of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), was also present at the program. At the ceremony, the college's Chairman Dr. Nar Bahadur Bist said that the main objective is to develop students in a multidimensional way by providing them with facilities for sports and other extracurricular activities, in addition to making them excellent in their studies.

The college has announced that for now, it will provide students with the opportunity to play cricket one day a week under Extra Curricular Activities (ECA). The school/college has stated that it is also preparing to hire separate coaches for cricket and basketball.  

Uniglobe Premier has been making an excellent identity in the educational sector of Nepal. It has given high priority to sports as an extracurricular activity along with achieving excellence in students' studies.

With the increasing craze for cricket in Nepal day by day and the attraction of students towards sports, this facility will further encourage students. Established in 2009, Uniglobe College is one of the prestigious educational institutions in Nepal affiliated with Pokhara University. This college offers educational programs such as BASCIT, BBA, MBA, etc.

Uniglobe has stated that it has succeeded in creating a distinct identity at the national and international level due to its modern teaching methods, experienced professors, and student-centric teaching system.

From this academic session 2083, new admissions are also being taken in classes 11 in Science and Management faculties at Uniglobe Premier School/College, owned by Uniglobe College.
