16th Central President Running Shield Games Scheduled for Jestha 20-22 in Kathmandu

Kathmandu. The 16th Central President Running Shield Games, organized by the National Sports Council (NSC), will be held in Kathmandu from Jestha 20 to 22. The decision was made at a meeting chaired by NSC Member-Secretary Ramcharitra Mehta, who is also the coordinator of the competition operation and management committee. This time, the President Running Shield competition will include six different sports disciplines. During the competition, players will showcase their best abilities and compete in Athletics, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Karate, Taekwondo, and Wushu. The meeting, held to discuss the date and preparation of the games, was attended by the head of the Sports Competition and Planning Department, Minkumar Sharma, representatives of the national federations of the respective sports, and chief coaches. While addressing the meeting, NSC Member-Secretary Ramcharitra Mehta emphasized the need to make this competition, which serves as the foundation at the school level, extremely organized, dignified, and participatory. He also instructed all concerned parties to prepare responsibly to successfully complete the competition.
