Armed Police Assistant Inspector Nim Dicky Sherpa Conquers Lhotse, Becomes First Armed Police to Summit Both Lhotse and Everest

Kathmandu. Armed Police Assistant Inspector Nim Dicky Sherpa has successfully climbed the 8,516-meter high Lhotse mountain. With the ascent of Lhotse, the world's fourth-highest mountain, she has become the first armed police from the Armed Police Force, Nepal to successfully climb both Lhotse and Sagarmatha.

Assistant Inspector Sherpa climbed Lhotse mountain on May 18 at 3:25 PM. This achievement has taken the high mountain and Himalayan rescue capabilities of the Armed Police Force, Nepal, along with the active participation and adventurous contribution of women, to new heights, says Co-Spokesperson Shailendra Thapa.

The Armed Police Force, Nepal has been conducting various mountain rescue training programs since the establishment of the Mountain Rescue Training School in Manang district. Nim Dicky Sherpa's historic ascent is believed to contribute significantly to the development of northern border security and mountain rescue capabilities.

Earlier, she had also successfully climbed the world's highest peak, Sagarmatha, on May 17 at 11:55 AM. Along with her, Armed Police Assistant Havildar Anita Karki also successfully climbed Sagarmatha on May 17.
