Senior Litterateur Dr. Garga Sharma to Receive 'Yugakabi Siddhi Charan Puraskar-2083'

Kathmandu. On the occasion of the 115th birth anniversary of Yugakabi Siddhi Charan Shrestha, the Yugakabi Siddhi Charan Pratishthan has decided to present this year's 'Yugakabi Siddhi Charan Puraskar-2083' to senior litterateur Dr. Garga Sharma.

The Pratishthan has informed through a press release today that the award, which includes a cash prize of one lakh rupees, will be presented with honor. With the objective of keeping the literary brilliance and cultural heritage of Yugakabi Shrestha alive, the Pratishthan has been presenting the award every year to leading litterateurs who have made long-term and significant contributions to the field of Nepali literature.

A selection subcommittee for this award was formed under the convenership of Dr. Mohan Lohani. Dr. Abhi Subedi and Dr. Usha Thakur were members of this subcommittee.

Yugakabi Shrestha was born on Jestha 9, 1969 BS and passed away on Jestha 22, 2049 BS.
