CPN-UML National Assembly Leader Dangal Criticizes Budget Priorities

Kathmandu. CPN (UML) National Assembly Parliamentary Party Leader Prem Prasad Dangal has commented that the principles and priorities of the upcoming fiscal year's appropriation bill have not been able to make the capital expenditure system efficient.

He made this comment while speaking at the National Assembly meeting on Monday. 

He said that although the country is heading towards the state of an old age home, no concrete economic package to retain youth in the country and bring back those who have gone abroad has been included in the principles and priorities of the budget. His comment is that there is no guarantee in the principles and priorities of the appropriation bill to stop price hikes and provide relief to the general public.

Speaking at the meeting, Dangal said, 'No concrete action plan has been prioritized on how to bring about structural disruption to end the inability to spend the budget only in Asar, which has been a perennial problem in Nepal. Therefore, no action plan has been brought to make the capital expenditure system efficient.'

Similarly, he also accused the principles and priorities of the appropriation bill presented at present of adding further challenges to Nepal's non-aligned foreign policy and foreign aid.
