Gagan Thapa: Nepali Congress Will Not Compromise on Citizen Rights and Dignity

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa has said that the party will not compromise on the issues of citizen rights and dignity. Speaking at a program organized by the Democratic Thought Society in Kathmandu on Sunday, President Thapa said so, hinting at the issue of Balendra Shah-led government running bulldozers over slum settlements.

"Congress will not compromise on the issues of citizen rights and dignity," said President Thapa, "The party will stand in the right place on the issue of citizen dignity. It will not compromise."

President Thapa said that Congress is clear about national security and foreign policy. President Thapa said that Congress will support the government's work to establish good governance.
