Three Subject Committees of Federal Parliament to Meet Today

Kathmandu. Various three subject committees of the Federal Parliament are meeting today. The Parliament Secretariat has stated that discussions will be held on separate agendas in the meetings of the Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee, the Women and Social Affairs Committee, and the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee today. 

The meeting of the Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee has an agenda to present the overall status of the Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC). It has been informed that detailed discussions will be held on the research programs conducted by the Council, existing problems, challenges, and the future direction of NARC. 

Similarly, the meeting of the Women and Social Affairs Committee will discuss the activities of the National Inclusion Commission. In the meeting, officials of the commission will be invited for a dialogue on the commission's progress so far, complexities observed in its performance, and future plans. 

Likewise, the meeting of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee has a scheduled agenda focused on the management of squatters within the Kathmandu Valley. Consultations will be held with stakeholders in the meeting regarding urban management in the valley and long-term solutions to the squatter problem. 

Representatives from the concerned ministries and heads of bodies will also be present in today's meetings, and discussions will be held on various other topics, the Secretariat has mentioned.
