Tamil Nadu Reopens Morning Film Shows After Three-Year Ban

Mumbai. Morning shows of films, which have been banned in Tamil Nadu for the past three years, have been reopened. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Superstar Thalapathy Vijay has given permission to reopen morning shows. In 2023, after a major incident, the Tamil Nadu government had banned morning shows of films citing security reasons.

Indian media have reported that permission has been given to open shows from 9 am for the new film 'Karuppu' starring Suriya and Trisha Krishnan.

The film's production house wrote on social media with a picture of Chief Minister Vijay, 'Thanks to our Chief Minister Joseph Vijay for giving special permission for the 9 am show of 'Karuppu'. Special shows from 9 am will start from May 14.'

It is being discussed that the relationship with Trisha is the main reason behind Vijay allowing this film to be screened from 9 am. Because Vijay's name has been associated with Trisha for a long time.

Trisha had reached Vijay's house to congratulate him after he won the assembly elections. She also participated in Vijay's swearing-in ceremony.
