Arghakhanchi MP Highlights Stalled Development Projects and Wildlife Menace

Kathmandu. Hari Prasad Bhusal, a Member of Parliament elected from Arghakhanchi, has drawn the government's attention to the stalled important development projects in the district. Speaking at the Parliament meeting on Wednesday, he stated that development works came to a standstill as Arghakhanchi was without a Member of Parliament for three years.

Speaking at the meeting, Bhusal mentioned that dozens of projects including the Naumure project, Argha Bhagwati Airport, road infrastructure, irrigation, and drinking water have been stalled due to lack of budget and oversight. He stated that the under-construction airport has now turned into a grazing field and drinking water tanks have started to leak. 'Ants, not water, have started crawling in the pipes. Where should I convey this complaint, Mr. Speaker?' he questioned.

MP Bhusal also said that citizens are facing displacement due to the menace of wild animals in the district. He stated that the people of Arghakhanchi, who have been driven out from all sides, are now being driven out of their homes by monkeys and wild boars.

Narrating the plight of farmers, he said, 'Firstly, birds do not let the crops grow, and if they somehow grow, deer do not let them mature. If they somehow mature, wild boars do not let them bear fruit, and if by luck they bear fruit, monkeys do not let them ripen.' He demanded that the government solve the problem of wild animals and immediately advance the stalled development construction works.
