Karnali Province Hospital to Get Separate OPD Building

Surkhet. A separate OPD building will be constructed at Karnali Province Hospital. The foundation stone for the building was laid inside the hospital premises on Monday. The foundation stone was laid with the participation of Karnali Chief Minister Yamlal Kandel and Social Development Minister Ghanshyam Bhandari.

According to Anita Gyawali, Information Officer of the Province Hospital, the estimated cost of the building was initially 29 crore 98 lakh.

The construction company has taken the responsibility to complete the construction of the building at a cost of 16 crore 84 lakh.

She said that the responsibility of construction has been taken by Chandiidevi Vishal & Virat JV Kathmandu. "Our currently operating OPD structure is based on a 50-bed hospital, but our service is currently for 300 beds," she told Ratopati, "That's why the crowd is very large. It is not sustainable."

Gyawali said that a new separate OPD building is being constructed with co-investment from the provincial and central governments for quick and efficient service. The construction company has a deadline of 14 months to complete the construction and hand over the building.
