Two Arrested in Pokhara for Forging Land Documents to Obtain Loan

Kaski. Police have arrested two individuals in Pokhara for forging land documents and obtaining a loan of 50 lakh rupees by mortgaging land.

The land registered in the name of 52-year-old Mohan Bahadur Shahi, a resident of Dhungepatan, Pokhara Metropolitan City Ward No. 30, specifically plots number 2444 and 2447, was forged by his wife, 44-year-old Vanti Shahi, and 44-year-old Bhadra Thapa, originally from Chaukune Rural Municipality, Surkhet, but currently residing in Buddhachowk, Pokhara-10, to obtain a loan.

The police initiated action after a complaint was filed stating that they forged Mohan Bahadur Shahi's signature and took a loan of 50 lakh rupees from the Talchowk branch of Siddhartha Bank Limited.
