Judicial Festival Held in Janakpurdham

Dhanusha. The first Judicial Festival of Madhesh Province is being held today in Janakpurdham. Acting Chief Justice of Janakpur High Court, Teknarayan Kunwar, said that the festival is being organized with the objective of making judicial service delivery more effective, transparent, and citizen-friendly, along with court work progress, case settlement status, and upcoming judicial fairs.

The fair is being organized with the objective of providing overall performance of the court, case management system, service delivery, status of settlement of old cases, and easy information about the judicial process to the citizens.

Acting Chief Justice Kunwar said that speedy, impartial, and effective justice delivery is necessary to maintain citizens' trust in the judiciary. According to him, the court is working with the priority of settling old cases. He believes that the role of the media will be important in expanding citizens' access to justice.

According to Acting Chief Justice Kunwar, the 'Judicial Fair' is considered a means to reduce the distance between the judiciary and the citizens. He informed that through the fair, information related to court services, judicial process, alternative dispute resolution, legal aid, and citizens' rights will be disseminated to the general public.
