National Cooperative Regulation Authority Begins Leadership Selection Process

Kathmandu. The process of selecting leadership for the National Cooperative Regulation Authority, formed with the objective of making the cooperative sector organized and dignified, has begun. A committee formed to recommend candidates for the positions of Chairman and expert member of the Authority has issued a notice inviting applications from eligible candidates.

This process has been advanced to recommend suitable candidates to the government as per the provisions of the Cooperative Act, 2074. According to the notice, candidates must have passed at least a postgraduate level in Economics, Commerce, Management, Accounting, Law, or Cooperative subjects.

For the position of Chairman, the candidate must have worked in the Gazetted Special Class (Secretary) or equivalent position of the Government of Nepal, or have at least 15 years of work experience in national, international banks, financial institutions, or the cooperative sector.

For the position of expert member, there is a provision of at least 10 years of work experience in the relevant field. The notice states that the candidate must not have completed 60 years of age by the last date of application.

Interested candidates can submit their applications to the office of the National Cooperative Regulation Authority located in Pulchowk, Lalitpur within 15 days from the date of publication of this notice (i.e., until Jestha 9, 2083).
