Biometric Data Collection for Federal Parliamentarians Begins

Kathmandu. Biometric details of the Federal Parliamentarians have started to be collected. The work has started from Thursday for the purpose of recording attendance through electronic means in the meetings of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly.

Currently, the biometric details of the parliamentarians of the thematic committees of the Federal Parliament, namely the International Relations and Tourism Committee, the Development, Economic Affairs and Public Policy Committee, the Finance Committee, and the Legislative Management Committee, have been collected. Similarly, the Federal Parliament Secretariat has informed that the collection of biometric details of the parliamentarians of the Industry, Commerce and Labour and Consumer Interest Committee and the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee is underway. 

On Friday, the collection of biometric details of the parliamentarians of the Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee, the Federalism Strengthening and National Concerns Committee, the Infrastructure Development Committee, the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee, the Women and Social Affairs Committee, and the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee will be done. 

Similarly, the Federal Parliament Secretariat has informed that the collection of biometric details of the parliamentarians of the Public Accounts Committee and the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee will be done on Monday, Baishakh 28. –
