Nepal Police Initiate Red Corner Notice Process Against Former NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba

Kathmandu. Nepal Police has started the process to issue an international arrest warrant, or 'Red Corner Notice', against former Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba. The Interpol branch of the police (NCB Nepal) has corresponded with the Interpol headquarters for investigation into the money laundering case. The police have sent all the necessary documents to the headquarters to arrest Deuba, who is currently in Hong Kong, and bring him to Nepal. However, despite a long time having passed since the correspondence, no official response has been received from the Interpol headquarters yet. Police high sources have stated that there is still confusion as to whether a red notice has been issued by the headquarters due to the lack of a response. The process of bringing Deuba, who is in Hong Kong, to Nepal depends on Interpol's response. Deuba had gone to Singapore first and then to Hong Kong with his wife before the election.
