Tanahun Police Arrest Man for Alleged Rape

Tanahun. A man has been arrested on charges of raping a woman in Tanahun. Police have taken into custody Sambhu Lal Sarki, 51, also known as Sanu Kanchha, residing in Phedi, Bhanu Municipality-11, on the accusation of raping a 32-year-old woman.

A complaint was filed with the police accusing Shambhu of raping the woman. Immediately after the complaint was filed by the victim, a special team dispatched from Rupakot Police Post increased its activity and succeeded in apprehending the accused Sarki on Monday afternoon.

Legal proceedings have been initiated against the arrested Sarki under the offense of rape. Police have stated that further necessary investigation and collection of legal evidence are being rapidly carried out in coordination with the Area Police Office and District Police Office.
