Absconder Sentenced for Rape and Homicide Arrested in Birgunj

Parsa. Parsa police have arrested a fugitive defendant sentenced in a case of forced rape and homicide from Birgunj.

Based on special information, a police team arrested Begam BK, 22, from Gurvakot Municipality Ward No. 2 of Surkhet, from Birtachok in Birgunj Metropolitan City Ward No. 4 on Tuesday morning. He was found walking suspiciously on the road.

The arrested BK had previously escaped from the juvenile reform home in Birgunj during the Gen Z movement. The court had sentenced him to 8 years in prison and a fine of 4 lakh rupees for the cases of forced rape and homicide. He had escaped from the reform home while serving his sentence, and the police had been searching for him for a long time.

According to Raju Karki, Parsa's police spokesperson and information officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police, the arrested BK was sent back to the juvenile reform home in Birgunj on Tuesday after completing the necessary legal procedures.
