Five Arrested for Indecent Behavior Towards Police in Kapilvastu

Kapilvastu. Police have taken five people into custody on charges of indecent behavior towards police personnel on duty in Chandrauta, Kapilvastu.< /p>

On the night of April 19, they were taken into custody after they attacked the police when questioned while moving suspiciously along the Chandrauta-Krishnanagar road section in Ward No. 5 of Shivraj Municipality.< /p>

A team from Chandrauta Area Police Office found them in front of Hotel Paradise. According to the District Police Office Kapilvastu, those arrested include 26-year-old Anjana Tamang from Tarkeshwor Municipality, Kathmandu, 20-year-old Barsha Sunar from Pyuthan Municipality, and 22-year-old Manoj Gupta from Bijaynagar, Kapilvastu. Similarly, police have also taken into custody 27-year-old Dipendra Kumar Chaudhary from Shivraj Municipality and 28-year-old Ranjit Chaudhary from Siddharthanagar district of India.< /p>

Police claim that they used obscene words targeting female police personnel on duty at night, abused them, and obstructed police work.< /p>

When the police team tried to reason with them, they instead raised their voices, created a disturbance, and caused unrest, after which they were immediately taken into custody from the same location. All five arrested individuals are being investigated under a case of indecent behavior. They have been remanded in custody for five days by the District Administration Office Kapilvastu.< /p>

Further legal proceedings and investigation into the incident are ongoing, informed Devendra Raj Joshi, Acting Information Officer and Police Inspector of the District Police Office Kapilvastu.< /p>
