Janmat Party Withdraws Support From Madhesh Province Government

Kathmandu. Dr. CK Raut-led Janmat Party has withdrawn its support from the Madhesh Province government. On Monday, the party decided to recall the ministers from the government. 

The decision was made by the Madhesh Province Parliamentary Party meeting held today, said Janmat Party General Secretary Chandan Singh. The Janmat Party has withdrawn its support, accusing the Congress-led government of not working in coordination with the parties, not advancing development work according to the goals set by the government, and not being able to work according to the policies and programs. 

According to sources, Upendra Yadav-led Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal is also said to withdraw its support to the government. 

The Congress-led government includes JSP Nepal, Janmat Party, and CPN. With JSP Nepal and Janmat Party withdrawing their support from the government, the Congress-led government is certain to be in the minority. 

There is a possibility of forming a government under another party immediately after that. According to sources, the Madhesi parties are making internal preparations to form a government by joining hands with UML. However, if UML supports Congress, no party will be needed.
