Baglung District Administration Office Directs Local Levels to Protect Public Land

Baglung. The District Administration Office, Baglung has sent a circular to all 10 local levels of the district to make the protection and record management of government and public land effective.

Issuing a notice, the office stated that local levels have been urged to pay special attention to the protection, record management, and encroachment control of government and public land.

The District Administration Office has issued a circular to activate local levels after the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Home Affairs, directed to make necessary security arrangements to prevent encroachment of public land and remove illegally constructed houses and huts.

Although directives were issued on various previous dates, the office stated that attention has been drawn again, citing that the implementation has not been effective. According to the letter, local levels and concerned bodies have been urged to be active in removing encroachments on government and public land, updating records, and systematizing management.

According to Assistant Chief District Officer Navraj Baral, local levels will take the initiative in removing houses and huts built on encroached land, and the administration will provide security arrangements for it.
