KP Sharma Oli: Society Prospers Where Labor is Respected

Kathmandu. CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that society prospers where labor is respected. Extending wishes on the occasion of International Labor Day, Chairman Oli mentioned that Labor Day, i.e., May 1, has taught the world a lesson through the struggle for the value, dignity, and rights of labor. 

He mentioned that Nepal's constitution has adopted directive principles for the balance between the working class and the employing class for a just state. "We have adopted this directive principle in the constitution for the balance between the working class and the employing class for a just state," said Chairman Oli, extending wishes through social media. "When we were in government, we initiated social security based on the contribution of all three parties by adopting a path of balanced tripartite cooperation between labor, employers, and the state."

Chairman Oli mentioned that to protect human dignity and ensure the security and respect of laborers, their universal rights must be guaranteed. He recalled that during his leadership of the government, he advanced the path of dialogue, cooperation, and coexistence between state policy, employers, and laborers.

 "Our goal was that industries should run, employment should increase, laborers should be safe, profits should be distributed equitably, and the country should become prosperous," said Chairman Oli in his message of good wishes. Chairman Oli stated that the state should not deviate from this limit set by the constitution today.
