Prachanda arrives in Rukum East for party meeting and election review

Rukum East. CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has arrived in Rukum East for election review and party meetings.

The district-level meeting has started in Rukumkot in the presence of Chairman Prachanda, who is also the elected Member of Parliament from Rukum East. According to party central member Keshav Rawal, Prachanda, who arrived in Rukumkot at 10 AM today, was welcomed by local leaders and cadres. Following the welcome, the expanded district committee meeting began at the district party office from 12 PM.

Prachanda has a schedule of active political engagements in Rukum East today and tomorrow. He will be busy with the district committee meeting throughout the day today and will meet with staff in the evening. He will hold a press conference tomorrow, Baishakh 18, at 8 AM. Immediately after that, from 9 AM to 11 AM, he will meet with party cadres and well-wishers at the party office, and from 12 PM to 3 PM, he will complete the remaining tasks of the meeting at the Sisne Rural Municipality hall.

Inauguration of Progressive Music Festival in Thabang

After concluding his program in Rukum East, Chairman Prachanda will depart for Thabang, a historic area in Rolpa, tomorrow (Baishakh 18) at 3 PM. He is scheduled to inaugurate the 'Progressive Music Festival-2083' on Baishakh 19, which is being organized by the Nepal Academy of Music and Drama and primarily sponsored by Thabang Rural Municipality.

The festival, co-organized by Rolpa Arts and Literature Academy, will run for two days on Baishakh 19 and 20. This festival, to be held in Thabang, the birthplace of the People's War, is seen as an important link to promote cultural revolution and progressive thinking. Prachanda's visit to Rukum-Rolpa, connecting party strengthening and cultural campaigns, is being closely watched in political circles.
