Kathmandu Valley Dressed in Purple as Jacaranda Flowers Bloom

This attractive flower, which blooms especially in the month of Baishakh, has further enhanced the beauty of Kathmandu. The jacarandas blooming in areas like Sundhara, Kamalpokhari, Ratnapark in the valley and Mahalamisthan in Lalitpur have made the city very attractive. Due to its small size and clustered nature, it is also called 'Bhangeri flower' in the local language.
