Nepal Weather Forecast: Rain and Snow Expected in Various Regions

Kathmandu. Currently, Nepal is experiencing partial influence from westerly and local winds, along with a low-pressure system in the lower atmosphere near the eastern parts of Nepal, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

Due to this influence, the mountainous and hilly regions of the country are generally cloudy, while the rest of the regions are partly cloudy. Light rain is also occurring in one or two places in the Gandaki Province.

This afternoon, the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, will generally be cloudy. The Tarai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim will be partly cloudy. There is a possibility of thunderstorms with moderate rain and snowfall in some places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Madhesh, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Tonight, the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with the entire country, will generally be cloudy, while the Tarai regions will be partly cloudy. There is a possibility of thunderstorms with moderate rain and snowfall in many places in Koshi Province, some places in Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and a few places in Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall and snowfall with thunderstorms in one or two places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi Province and the hilly regions of Gandaki Province, the Department stated.
