Rabi Lamichhane: Rastriya Swatantra Party Not for Those Seeking to be 'Masters'

Kathmandu. The chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Rabi Lamichhane, has stated that the RSP is not suitable for those who want to be masters. Lamichhane made this statement targeting RSP MP Bishwaraj Pokharel.

RSP MP Bishwaraj Pokharel, elected from Okhaldhunga, had a few days ago reprimanded a headmaster in a local unit of the district for not welcoming him.

After Pokharel's behavior towards the headmaster was widely criticized, he apologized. Responding to a question from journalists on Monday about the same issue, Lamichhane said, 'RSP is not for those who want to be masters. We are not masters, we are servants. Everyone should remember this. There might be other places for those who wish to be masters.'

Although he has already apologized publicly, he has cautioned other friends to be mindful. Lamichhane asserted that they entered politics not to be masters but to be servants.

'All friends should keep this in mind. Such expressions should not be voiced, even if they are in one's mind,' he said.

Similarly, regarding the statement made by RSP MP Khagendra Sunar in the case of the death of a Dalit person in police custody in Sindhuli, Lamichhane said that the expressions of pain should be heard.
