Government assures TU Cricket Ground will not be demolished

Kathmandu. Government spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel has stated that the TU Cricket Ground and its structures will not be demolished. Minister Pokharel said this while responding to journalists' queries after a cabinet meeting on Monday.

'This morning I held a meeting with the Vice-Chancellor of TU and other officials. The objective is not to vacate it, the lease has expired, so a new agreement will be made. It will not be demolished,' said Minister Pokharel. Earlier, the TU administration had issued a notice to remove structures within the TU premises within 35 days.
