Physical altercation erupts between wives of political figures at Maitighar Mandala

Kathmandu. A physical altercation has occurred between Ambika Basnet, wife of UML Secretary Mahesh Basnet, and Shobha Pathak. The scuffle took place at Maitighar Mandala. 

A physical fight and scuffle took place between two women at Maitighar. The police intervened, separated the two women, and took Ambika and Shobha to the District Police Range, Kathmandu. 

It is reported that while Shobha Pathak, Rashmila Dhami, and other young women were staging a sit-in protest at Maitighar demanding the reinstatement of Sudhan Gurung, Ambika arrived with her entourage and began to physically assault Shobha. 

According to Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, spokesperson for the range and Deputy Superintendent of Police, the fight was separated and both individuals have been brought to the range, where the incident is being investigated.
