Iran's Foreign Minister Araghchi Concludes Fruitful Pakistan Visit, Discusses Strait of Hormuz

Moscow. Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has stated that his visit to Islamabad, Pakistan, was extremely fruitful. According to IRNA, he informed that in-depth discussions were held regarding special circumstances that could advance US-Iran talks.

During the meetings in Islamabad, Araghchi stated that past events were reviewed and good consultations were held on how future talks could progress. He also mentioned that important discussions were held regarding the Strait of Hormuz during his visit to Oman.

According to him, since both Iran and Oman are coastal countries of the Strait, mutual coordination is extremely necessary. He stated that safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz is currently a matter of global importance, and therefore, continuous dialogue between the two countries is essential.

Araghchi said that a high-level agreement has been reached between Iran and Oman, and both sides have agreed to continue discussions at the technical level. He is currently on a visit to Russia.
