Nepal Weather Forecast: Partial Cloudiness to Moderate Rain Expected

Kathmandu. There is a possibility of partial cloudiness to moderate cloudiness across the country today. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, since this morning, the hilly and mountainous regions of the country have generally been cloudy, while the Terai region has been partly cloudy.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain and snowfall in some places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in the hilly and mountainous regions of Lumbini province and the remaining hilly regions of the country.

In the afternoon, it will generally be cloudy in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while it will be partly cloudy in the hilly and mountainous regions of Madhesh province, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. The weather in the remaining areas will be mostly clear, the department has stated.

In the afternoon, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain and snowfall with thunderstorms in some places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in the hilly regions of Lumbini province, and one or two places in the mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Additionally, hot days are possible in the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.

According to the department, currently, there is a partial influence of westerly winds and local winds, along with a low-pressure area in the lower atmosphere near the eastern parts of the country.

Last night, the hilly and mountainous regions of the country were generally cloudy, and the Terai region was partly cloudy. There was a possibility of light to moderate rain and snowfall in some places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in the hilly and mountainous regions of Lumbini province and the remaining hilly regions of the country.
