Tanahun Police Arrest 27 in Anti-Drug Sweep Operation

Tanahun. The District Police Office, Tanahun, has arrested 27 individuals during a 'sweep operation' conducted as part of a special campaign to control drug abuse. Deputy Superintendent of Police Shrawan Kumar BK stated that the 27 individuals involved in drug trafficking and usage were apprehended during the operation, which ran from Thursday until today.

According to him, one of the detainees is currently under investigation in accordance with the law, while another has been sent to a rehabilitation center in coordination with their family. For the others, DSP BK noted that they underwent screening, had their details recorded, and were released to their families on bail after a background check and counseling. He emphasized that this special campaign was launched with the priority of controlling drug abuse.

He stated, "The police are continuously monitoring and taking action to control the use and trafficking of drugs. Such campaigns will continue in the future with the aim of making society safe and healthy."
