Rastriya Swatantra Party Initiates Candidate Selection Process for Local Elections

Kathmandu. The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has officially commenced its candidate selection process targeting the upcoming local elections. According to a circular issued by the party's central office, instructions have been given to coordinate and systematically recommend candidates across provinces, districts, municipalities, and ward levels nationwide.

The party stated that it has formed a special committee at the central level to make the candidate selection process transparent, participatory, and organized. A seven-member committee has been formed under the coordination of Joint General Secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya. It is stated that the committee will prepare necessary criteria and prioritize qualified, capable, and accountable individuals.

As mentioned in the circular, the recommendation process starting from the ward level will be sent to the central committee through the municipality, district, and province levels. A clear timeline has been set for this, according to which all levels must submit their recommendations within the specified date.

The party stated that it will give special importance to the suggestions of local-level workers in the candidate selection process and, if necessary, details will also be collected through digital means. Additionally, all committees have been urged to submit reports on time and work in coordination.

This move is being viewed as a strategic preparation to ensure an effective presence in the upcoming elections.
