Cabinet meeting concludes with three key decisions

Kathmandu. The Cabinet meeting has concluded. The meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar has made three major decisions. 

The meeting decided to form a negotiation team led by a Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Finance to finalize the financial agreement and other related documents regarding the concessional loan assistance of 115 million US dollars from the Asian Development Bank for the Integrated Water Supply and Sewerage Management Project. 

In place of the decision made by the Government of Nepal Cabinet on 2075 Bhadra 1 to transfer the entire land (114 ropani 3 ana) of the National Police Academy in Maharajgunj to the Office of the President, the meeting decided to allow the National Police Academy to continue using the land as before. 

Similarly, the meeting decided to form a study task force under the coordination of the Information and Communication Technology Advisor to study software and information technology-related matters in government agencies.

Government spokesperson Sasmita Pokharel informed that there was no discussion in the meeting regarding the clearing of encroached squatter settlements.
