Government to Implement New Regulations for Land Revenue and Survey Offices

Kathmandu. The government is set to implement new regulations to make service delivery at Land Revenue and Survey offices more organized, transparent, and dignified.

The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation is introducing mandatory dress codes, identification cards, and rate cards for documentation professionals (lekhapadi byabasayi) working in Land Revenue and Survey offices across the country.

Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Pratibha Rawal, stated that the ministry held discussions with these professionals on Wednesday, urging them to use clear identification cards, adopt a specific dress code, and mandatorily display service fee rate cards. Previously, in the second week of Chaitra, the ministry had already prohibited middlemen from entering Land Revenue and Survey offices.
