Nepali Congress General Secretary Thapa to attend Koshi Province election review meeting

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa is scheduled to visit Biratnagar today to participate in the Koshi Province-level election review program. According to the scheduled itinerary, General Secretary Thapa will land at Biratnagar Airport at 9:50 AM, and the review program will commence at 10:30 AM, informed party Joint General Secretary Dr. Dila Sangroula.

The program has been organized with the objective of strengthening the party's provincial organization, reviewing election results, and determining future strategies. The event will see the participation of the party's central office bearers from Koshi Province, central members, provincial working committee members, federal and provincial parliamentarians, district presidents, regional presidents, and candidates from the previous election under both direct and proportional representation systems.

The Congress has been conducting election review programs across various provinces recently. Having already completed similar review meetings in Gandaki, Lumbini, Bagmati, and Madhesh provinces, the party is continuing its organizational discussions in Koshi Province today.

The party leadership expects to collect direct feedback regarding the state of the organization from the local to the provincial level, election results, weaknesses, and possibilities for improvement through this review program. Additionally, extensive discussions are expected on future political strategies, organizational expansion, active membership, preparations for the 15th General Convention, and increasing the engagement of party workers.

Joint General Secretary Sangroula stated that the management of the Congress leadership in Koshi Province and the strengthening of the organization will also be discussed as a priority during the meeting.
